Last year my Early Girl grew and produced fine.Sounds to me like it doesn’t have enough room in the pot. It produces plenty of deep red 8 to 12 ounce, sweet tomatoes. Bush Early Girl bears a surprising number of delicious tomatoes in a small garden or a pot. the Early Girl has NOT made 1 bud this year, unlike my Beef Master tomato plants.

However, if you avoid some common mistakes, you will vastly increase your chances of successfully growing tomatoes in containers. She’s in a raised garden bed and looks great, huge but it has no blooms.
