If it truly is the 1st cartridge filter out on a clean or resurfaced pool, the filters in basic terms final approximately 6-10 months.You may try to close your suction valve a little to see if that keeps your hose from collapsing.Sounds more like something is clogging the head, and that would be the liner. The result will be the maximum flow rate the system can handle.Determine the maximum flow rate for the currently installed pump with information from the owner's manual or consult a pool pump supplier.
