Obviously it's not for everyone but if that is what you want to do in college you should definitely go greekNew comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be castThis is the unofficial subreddit for the University of Florida, a public university located in Gainesville, Florida.Press J to jump to the feed. Because of this, only the nastiest sorority girls will outwardly dislike a DZ girl. They are kind notorious for being, um, generous. Chi O id top tier there also. And the KD's are definitely a hodge podge, but I love em! They can be competitive in Greek life events, which may make them appear to be top tier; however, their focus on socializing can affect their academics and philanthropy initiatives.Definitely ChiO and KKG are the top tier at most schools. But leave it to a narrow minded individual like yourself to generalize thousands of women based on most likely your own observation of one school. At our school they are mostly blonde cutesy girls, but they are big in to their philanthropy.Kappas are the rich girls some are cute but some are not, they basically let girls in who have financial means.AEPhis are known to haze. This stereotype may, however, be sour grapes on the part of other sororities with inferiority complexes. With consistently high marks for physical attractiveness, sociability, and popularity, Pi Phis certainly earn the envy of other sororities and the interest of fraternities.
No matter what sorority it is you'll find beautiful women inside and out that want to achieve great things. Both of my daughters are DG's at the University of Washington. Girls who pledge with DG are usually very happy when they are accepted into the fold.Delta Delta Delta ("Tri-Delts") have a national reputation that was lampooned in a 1980s episode of Saturday Night Live ("Delta Delta Delta, can I helpya helpya helpya?"). This sorority seems more concerned about recruiting a wide range of girls, which can make chapters diverse and interesting, than recruiting the most "beautiful" girls. PAN LOVE PEOPLE!!
It was where I felt I fit in, and I ended up finding out that I would have been extremely unhappy if I'd gone with my old friends.Even if you don't think sororities are for you, I would suggest just giving it a shot.
Some consider them to be the quintessential sorority, in both a good and a bad way.

Sisterhood is not a competition!
To stereotype any organization and the members a part of these organizations is belittling of what these organization were founded on. such websites are not going to give you any information to work with when selecting (or dropping) a sorority. And if you think you need to be in a sorority to "be somebody" you need therapy. Sorority girls are empowered woman driven to make a difference, donate time and better themselves. They are known as the exclusive ones. That pattern continued for a few days and, well, I think that says it all. Rather than judging women before you even meet them, why not talk to them and see if it is right for you?As a generalization of the whole country, this is pretty accurate! The description of my Fraternal organization does not fit my experience in the least.I agree that you have to look at each campus to determine the "worth" of a sorority. Kappa Delta is not like Kappa Alpha Theta, which was omitted, and also considered top tier. I'm not a member of either, but I read it and thought "Wow, somebody doesn't like the Pi Phis".
"The following are among the largest national sororities that are members of the National Panhellenic Conference, an umbrella organization comprising 26 member groups. Livelonger is giving the Pi Phi's a way out, maybe they aren't actually self-absorbed, and other people are just being a little petty and jealous.Pi Beta Phi isn't always like that, I know someone who is very nice and outgoing who is in Pi Beta Phi . Ole Miss, Bama, LSU who cares! Most of the girls who were debutantes with me were Pi Phis. This is why sorority stereotypes exist. Each group is made for members who share values and are willing to grow through their ritual. and Kappa Kappa Gamma. I'm rushing KD in the fall. My experience was that the Kappas, Thetas and Pi Phis were tops. They know how to party, and they'll dress in the sluttiest attire ever when doing so. My roommate, whose dad owns half the state, went Pi Phi. Was that a secret I wasn't supposed to tell? Nevertheless, recruiting in this fashion does attract beautiful girls. Just saying what is the truth now. My friend got asked how much her dress cost when she was pledging. (They can definitely handle their liquor.) These are the things sorority women want you to know before UF sorority recruitment. I'll take a go at it.Alpha Gamma Delta - low-to-mid tier (annoying pranksters; nice but rude when partying; service oriented) - They seem to have a good sisterhood, which seems to be fueled by their need to pull pranks on other frats or steal things from frat houses.
The only girls on our campus who were involved in sororities were out of state kids that needed this sense of inclusion to fit in. Most down to earth girls I've ever met.
Whatever you read here should probably be ignored. Neither one is the "sorority type". We all want to provide opportunities for women. Pi Phi is cheer or dance types. What about Alpha Sigma Tau? They and their friends are NOTHING like the disbarging comments. Just about everyone knows at least one KD they really like and one KD they really hate. One consistent observation is that KDs are obsessed with popularity. Depending upon the campus, Tri-Delts are either considered lower-end top-tier, or higher-end mid-tier. They pick each other out before recruitment even begins.
