I have a Yamaha bruin 350 4x4 2004, i checked all the fuses under the seat, new battery (all Charged), when i hit the start button, the red light comes on … Joker, Jan 7, 2009 #1.

found out I had to replace the battery because the owner's dad had it parked in his garage for 2 years or more. if there a way to bypass it to test it?

yamaha states it is on right side of atv, but that's all it says. I'll check into this in the next couple weeks. Please, somebody help me find where the **** fuse is???

maybe head gasket or float stuck in carb causing gas to enter oili have no idea why the oil is overfilled. Open to all Grizzly models including 700, 660, 600, 350, and 125. blue anodized everything & a dikferI would recheck the petcock and make sure it flows gas on reserve. Now it won't start.

Sounds like to me a bad Battery or a jetting problem..But take some oil out and see what happens..whys the oil overfilled ??? It was replaced in 2002 with Yamaha Grizzly 660, an even bigger engine derived from the well-established all-terrain vehicle (ATV) Yamaha Raptor 660R. You did say it was getting spark so it wouldn't be a bad cdi/spark plug wire.I looked at the plug and it looked good, a light brown but I did notice on the small threaded shaft the cap connects to was worn were the cap holds it, I didn't have a new plug to put in it and the part store by me doesn't carry them. Now, as I previously stated replaced battery. i figured i would start with the fuse but could not find it.A forum community dedicated to Yamaha Grizzly owners and enthusiasts. Pulled carb off, checked all jets and verified everything was in working order, checked valve clearances and cam timing, verified that there was spark, and checked coolant.

Hey everyone, I have a 07 grizzly 400 and it wont start. like mentioned above check the valves sounds like they are out of adjustment....also didnt think there were yfz400's lollol, your right. Dealer says he has never seen a bad coild and guided me towards the Magneto. I ordered a adjustable one last night anyways. My 1998 Yamaha Wolverine ATV ran fine when we parked it. I barely know how to look for a problem and fix it. it fried something but i dont know what.

I will try different gas just to rule it out though.Sounds a little to me like it may be low on compression. Brought it over to my friends track and it wouldn't start again so we jumped it, started right up. i have cleaned the carb a few times, and even took the carb off my 03 Kodiak and put it on the grizzly and it still didnt run. Wouldn't start again after that unless we pulled it behind a truck. I thought the guy said it was a new battery but that doesn't mean much. After cranking it over you can smell gas in the exhaust also. It cranks and is getting fuel. I finally got a chance to take my new to me 04 yfz 450 out today and it wouldn't start. Once started it seemed to run ok. A couple things to note is that it wouldn't idle that good at all and would die but i has never had a problem restarting till now.

I checked spark with a new plug for my friends 400ex and grounded it to the frame. now at the point of checking the fuse but do not know where it is located on the atv.

I have a 1987 yamaha 350 moto4 atv. I was in a hurry when I posted that. It just didn't have enough compression and a fresh top end and valve adjustment fixed the problem. my 2008 Yamaha grizzly 125 won't start. check the gas....it might be old. I pulled the plug and cranked it over and no spark.

I have a compression tester but doesn't it have automatic decompression?
