An imbalanced load means your washing machine can’t spread clothes evenly around the drum, so doesn’t go into fast spin cycle as doing so could damage the machine. Here's Mat explaining what all the different fault codes mean:
The method used is to diagnose them faulty (usually by process of information) and replace them. If you can replace it easily enough with the right one then it's probably worth a try.
if the wash, rinse, and spin function lights are all flashing at the same time this indicates a potential obstruction in the drain or waste pipe. The first incident with the lights flashing was probably an error code that may or may not help but the error code can only be deciphered by knowing which numbers they were. If you suspect the latter you’ll need an engineer to take a look, but if you suspect a problem with your machine check the main motor, the control module and the power supply. If you can replace it easily enough with the right one then it's probably worth a try. An imbalanced load means your washing machine can’t spread clothes evenly around the drum, so doesn’t go into fast spin cycle as doing so could damage the machine.
