So were you able to just punch in 146.505 when in VFO? If it is locked out like LB mentioned and he can't get below 150.000 MHz and key in the 146.505 I may have to key in one of his freq's into my radio. I was kinda thinking that the radio would have to be re-programmed with Chirp to do that. 0000030788 00000 n
I was just thinking about this, and remembered I have the cloning cable. As long as you both have a common frequency you should be able to communicate without any issue. Once you get to 146.505, lock the keyboard so it doesn't change in your pack.
my rugged radio got about 6 months ago was programmed with all of their frequencies mainly the baja pits and etc. A forum dedicated to Polaris RZR enthusiasts! Want a dust plug for the radio? If his new blue radio comes in like Bp's did, then we won't have to re-program it prior to the ride. ... i asked about the stripped holes in the radio and they never responded.

Loaded with programmable options, the RM-60 is a powerful feature rich 2-way mobile radio that delivers the biggest bang for your buck! I have no idea how or why my RM60 is using an external speaker when the unit is plugged in to my RRP696 intercom! %PDF-1.5

Amgen, call you buddy and see if he can key in the frequency directly, like you are talking about. hb``g``a```c@@--IX*ωzLwtRHi#ƕ7X>0*h{»Kq

No idea what they are, where they are useful or even how to use them. When you initially connect the radio, be sure to download the original programming and save that, just in case something gets messed up along the way. Below is a link to a discussion of them complaining about their weatherman channel being hijacked. 0000063363 00000 n

I am frustrated as heck. I have a bunch of preprogrammed “things” in my RM60. If I could hook up with him I could fix him up in ten minutes. Race. Also, you will have plenty of time at BAR 10 on Friday night at the hotel to program your buddies radio....just a thought. He was able to just punch in the frequency and lock the keypad. It's not that they are programmed differently, it's that the Rugged radios were limited on the low freq range to 150.000. I have no idea how or why my RM60 is using an external speaker when the unit is plugged in to my RRP696 intercom! Anyone wanting to fully take control of their rugged RM60, instead of buying the software that rugged recommends for $50 which is still limited, buy this for $12 without limitations. t~[.p{ة_K[գQ˃rR|[b{y!/鶻|l)}5W6VM}g(N)jԿ!Q-QSfM+k`S)Fe ]"UQ#gDB;`"dC,]^iELA6Gj}MuIVr6O2Vc: Ʊ!70 jpu#Jjfv: im)E}Q Software - Program memories and other setting of the Rugged Radios RM-60V radio.

When I got my rugged radio, like Oracle, it would not let me do that. Windows version: Windows 7/ 8 and 8.1 (full version), or Windows 10 (32 and 64 bit) Mac version:MacOs 10.11 (64 bit) or higher USB-29A Cable - USB to 3.5mm stereo connector programming cable 0000000976 00000 n

Choose from 25-Watt, 50-Watt, and 110-Watt radios in UHF or VHF. I couldn't even manually program the SDAR frequency. As LB said, I have the software and the reprogramming cable if you need help. 3|1s{ QcJ0t&I-AAȺH(Cbhip6xZV͛:t!
We're going to be riding together in a couple of weeks on the BAR 10 ride and it will be nice to have the radios talking to each other. With power comes range, so a 25-watt radio can deliver roughly 12-15 miles of signal strength while a 50-watt can deliver up to 25 miles. but was able to get to 146.505 perfect maybe they changed it or didn't program mine right but no chirp needed. RM60 channels 16-22, however, have been previously licensed by other businesses, organizations, or government entities. I cannot get the FRS or GMRS frequencies uploaded to my RRP696. Still frustrated. The real reason for figuring out the frequencies was because I already had purchased a "Ham Radio UV5R Compatible With Baofeng Walkie Talkie,Dual Band Two Way Radio 6Pack" and wondered if it would interoperate with the Rugged radios so people could walk around the pits with the cheaper radios.

but was able to get to 146.505 perfect maybe they changed it or didn't program mine right but no chirp needed. Below are some of the pre-programmed frequencies for various Rugged Radio models. My buddy (lives in Lake Isabella) just took advantage of the RR 25% off sale and got the moto kit that comes with the blue RH-5R.
I am frustrated as heck. We were able to talk to each other and also to other groups of riders in front of and behind us.
