yamaha grizzly diff lock stuck

I turn the steering wheel left and right with a little throttle and it still stuck. Don't know if there all like that but thats what works for me and I'm sticking to it...BryanWell I guess im a little late to this thread but just wanted to also tell you welcome to the site SpeedDemon. working lights front & rear. When I go to put the Rhino in locker, the sliding switch that covers the "locker button" will not slide over. After ripping that out and replacing it I noticed that the actual front drive shaft seems to be coming out of the transmission.

I started taking it apart, but decided to post something cuz its kinda a pain in the rear to get to all of the stuff behind the dash.

When this happens the rev limiter kicks on like as if the diff is locked. Well to start out asking questions, shows how much i don't know about my 660, the diff lock is stuck on, have read several threads, most say they can here a clicking when you push the button, i dont here anything, cant tell which relay goes to the diff, the 3 amp fuse is good. (seated) Clean it out before you try to remove it(the connection)and take your time, it can break easily. 2004 YAMAHA GRIZZLY 660, with lots of extra's.

Open to all Grizzly models including 700, 660, 600, 350, and 125.

I need and use the front lock quite frequintly to come up out of our creek bed and don't really need it anymore once I'm about half way up the hill but if I turn it off, it won't come out when I'm under a load still climbing.

It even has heated handlebar grips inc thumb warmer.

This ATV has select-able four wheel drive & diff lockIt has an automatic transmission with a Low Range & High Range + Reverse gear & engine braking. It is located behind the left front wheel on the diff. take it to the dealer and let them figure it out under waranty. !...Irvsometimes mine is a pain to get back out of diff lock.

If it is an auto with electronic diff lock, make sure the engine is running and you are in neutral when you turn off the diff lock.

Anyone had a similar issue? Since Ive used this method, Ive never had another problem. I definatley don't think it is anything that you have done?

03 grizzly 660 diff lock light stuck on. 2006 Yamaha Grizzly stuck in 4x4 switch will not work at all.

My 02 never just comes out of diff lock if you just turn the button off. This ATV was supplied by us from new and we have looked after the ATV and carried out the service work.

For Sale 2007 Can-Am Renegade 800. 4wd works fine, I just don't wanna get in that situation where I really need locker and not be able to use it!

I can push it in about 1/4" but there is a spring behind it that pushes it back. the seat has no rips. After I worked it back and forth a few times it works fine. I tried forcing it to the point where it feels like it will break, then I stopped.

I turn the knob back to 4wd, waiting for the diff lock indicator and blinking red light to disappear, but diff lock doesn't disengage. This ATV was supplied by us from new and we have looked after the ATV and carried out the service work.
