The late John Hughes is the writer/director behind any number of classic 1980s and 1990s comedies, and his work has proven hugely influential. There isnt any special features, not even scene selection, the quality was not of bluray standards, very disappointing. Harry Crumb is a bumbling and inept private investigator who is hired to solve the kidnapping of a young heiress which he's not expected to solve because his employer is the mastermind behind the kidnapping. But 3 stars given as the case has been broken and the film sleeve feels like it's a copy. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. And I did. If you're tired of hearing about life's miseries, take a vacation and have a few laughs at "The Great Outdoors" it'll give you a real feel good evening. An overworked air-traffic controller takes his family on a beach vacation but is soon beset by series of mishaps.

Nostalgic about the good old days in the honeymoon cabin, the patriarch Chet and the Ripley family set off to the idyllic woods of Wisconsin for the summer vacation. Directed by Howard Deutch. But soon a bear with a grudge forces the mismatched pair to work together to save the family. No in between.

I remembering watching it on HBO during a summer I spent with my dad where he took me fishing and camping. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. I would give it a 4.5 if I could and I will watch again one day.

Yet I like this flick enough to watch it again. The Great Outdoors (TV Series 1992– ) cast and crew credits, including actors, actresses, directors, writers and more. An exclusive golf course has to deal with a brash new member and a destructive dancing gopher.

A few big laughs, but mostly chuckles. I got the bluray copy via Amazon, I was a little worried because it said made in Netherlands but no need to worry.

Fantastic film, so funny and showcases the highly talented cast, a real 80s gem, however dont bother with this bluray, just get the DVD. This movie is closer to reality than anything I've seen on screen in decades. More so for Johns character than Aykryods who was their to scam his brother in law. I watched this film with my grandson who shared my enjoyment – I'm under orders to find more of the same / similar. The video transfer was decent, not mind blowing but one of my all time favorite movies so I had to get it.

EXCITING TIME PERIOD: World's Fair, Bicentennial, Millennium, Space Exploration …. Since the movie is old it's probably not the best movie to buy on a Blu-ray disk but it does work. As long as the film plays tho I will be happy as it's no hardship getting a case.

Eventually, as the two families try to have a good time together, a seemingly endless series of misfortunes and mini-disasters with thirsty leeches, cunning racoons and a mythical wild bear, threaten to ruin the vacation.
